WHO IS CONSIDERED A CHILD? AND MYTHS ABOUT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT

Child abuse and neglect is a global tragedy. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989 (UNCRC) is a Human Rights treaty setting out the civil, political, economic, social, health and cultural rights of children. The Convention define that a person under the age of 18 is a child with the rights to be treated fairly. This is to safeguard and protect Children from any form of Child Abuse and neglect. Safeguarding children and protecting them from harm is everyone responsibility.
