PHYSICAL ABUSE

Children who have been emotionally abused can develop low self-esteem, find it difficult to ask for help and suffer lots of stress that can lead to depression, may appear secretive, withdrawn from their peers and are more likely to perform poorly in school.

PSYCHOLOGICAL OR EMOTIONAL ABUSE

Children who are experience physical abuse can be often associated with aggression, aggressiveness towards other and can be very confrontational and indulge in fighting compared to children why are not physically abused. Physical abused children are more likely to perform poorly in school.

NEGLECT

The neglected child tends to have behavioural problems and lack basic life skills and competence. Neglect is often linked to the cognitive development and social exclusion that facilitated psychological problems.

CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

Children who are victims of sexual abuse can become devastated with feelings of powerlessness, self-blame, regret, ashamed and lost the trust of others.
